WHIST Transportation
Washington Heights and Inwood Service and Transport (WHIST) delivers the able-bodied and the disabled to their chosen destination between 155th and 218th Streets. On an average day, WHIST serves from thirty-five to fifty individuals, and on a busy day we can serve up to 125 seniors. Between 15,000 and 20,000 medical, banking, shopping and social trips are made in the community every year. In addition, each year 18,500 Meals-On-Wheels (including Kosher) are prepared and delivered.
Transportation is provided for medical appointments, banking, and shopping by appointment. There are also prescheduled services for mobility-impaired persons to attend the various senior centers, Social Adult Day programs and Alzheimer's Day Program. Transportation services are available

8:30 A.M.
- 4:30 P.M.
