ARC XVI Fort Washington Inc. offers bilingual services to the elderly of the Washington Heights and Inwood communities through the ARC Senior Center, the ARC Adult Day Center and the WHIST transportation program.
ARC (Action for the Retired Community) is a not-for profit, neighborhood-based multi-service agency serving the needs of the elderly in northern Manhattan. ARC was founded in 1973. It has always been in the forefront of developing new and innovative programs and resources for the elderly of our community. In addition to its own programs, ARC seeks to identify and respond to the changing needs of senior citizens, thereby enhancing the quality of life for all residents of the area. ARC works cooperatively with other community agencies to enhance the lives of senior citizens. We offer:

All community residents 60 years and older are eligible to participate in our senior center, ESL, citizenship and health services.
